- Improving Interactions, Improving Ourselves: Upstanding and Advocating for LGBTQ Students, Colleagues, and Self, Presented by: Leah Roberts & Robert Marx

Description: This interactive workshop helps those who work with adolescents better understand the unique assets and needs of LGBTQ+ youth, especially in terms of their interactions with peers and adults. The workshop presents a process for interrupting heteronormativity and creating more loving, positive spaces for LGBTQ youth by introducing the concept of homophobic, transphobic and heterosexist micro-aggressions as an entry point to adult up-standing and intervening.

2. Straight Facts about LGBTQI Life, Presented by: Shawn Reilly - K. C. Potter Center

Description: This presentation is an overview of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex life. We will discuss basic-level definitions of the variety of gender identities, gender expressions, and sexual orientations.

- Caring for Transgender Youth, Presented by: Kristen Rager, MD, MPH

Description: Dr. Rager and Ms. Strickland will present the most current recommendations for the medical and mental health care for transgender youth. Will include discussion of pubertal suppression and gender affirming hormones, as well as the team approach to care.

2. Learning to Embrace Diversity of Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation, Presented by: Paige Regan & The Students of Stonewall

Description: Too often we are taught that sexual orientation and gender identity stops at gay or straight, boy or girl. This youth-driven workshop will invite participants to unpack the complexity of gender identity and sexual orientation and together learn to embrace the diversity of these identities.
