The Parent Engagement Alignment Team is looking for workshops that may be used in planning and implementing this summer's annual district-wide Parent University back to school conference. The MNPS Parent University Manager and the MNPS Family Involvement Specialists will coordinate all Parent University events. The team is seeking available workshop/program topics that support the team's stated outcome of increasing family self-efficacy for being involved in their child's education by 25%.

If your organization would like to submit a proposal for a workshop, please be prepared to answer the following questions:

  1. Workshop title
  2. Workshop description (75 words or less)
  3. Category you will be covering with the workshop (see list on this page)
  4. Targeted grade levels
  5. Your organization's expertise in the topic area
  6. Name of presenter
  7. Language your workshop be given in
  8. Specific needs (AV, PowerPoint, etc.)

 

 

COMMUNITY MEETING

The Community Meeting to learn more about how your organization can get involved with the Parent University Summer 2015 event and the ITP™ process was held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015. If you were unable to attend and would like more information, please contact the Alignment Team Coordinator.

 

 

All proposals were due by May 26, 2015 for the August 15th Summer event. (If you would like to submit a proposal to be included in the portfolio of workshops to be presented throughout the school year, please visit this page). The Parent Engagement Alignment Team is currently in the process of reviewing all proposals for the year around Parent University events and organizations will be notified once this process is complete. THE SUMMER 2015 PARENT UNIVERSITY EVENT HAS ENDED. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTED ON AUGUST 15, 2015. STAY TUNED FOR INFORMATION ON NEXT SUMMER'S EVENT.
