Art2STEM Replication Guide

Art2STEM Replication Guide

Pienikuva Ladannut Regina Gleason, 19.6.2014 10:22 From the story of how Art2STEM began, to successful practices, to community collaboration and support, the A2S guide weaves personal experiences of students and coaches into a how-to manual for creating and operating an A2S club; including the A2S forms, which can be downloaded from the Alignment Nashville website. “The information in the guide has much larger implications, it’s not just a guide for a creating a great Art2STEM club, it’s really a guide for how education is changing and the direction we are (and should be) headed in,” said Nicole Jimenez, Instructional Coach at DuPont-Tyler Middle School and A2S Coach since 2009. David McNeel, A2S Implementation Team member and MNPS Consultant, offers some insight on the publication process: “Compiling the Art2STEM implementation guide has provided an opportunity for teachers, mentors and business partners, as well as the A2S Implementation Team, to reflect on the breadth of impact Art2STEM has had on its students, teachers and the community over the past two years.” Art2STEM is a three-year grant from the National Science Foundation to Alignment Nashville. Community partners are Adventure Science Center, MNPS, PENCIL Foundation, and Tennessee Tech University.
